ACP launches weekly fashion mag

ACP's latest magazine, Grazia, hits the newsstands this week.

The fashion-based weekly magazine has a cover price of $5 and circulation figures of 80,000.

Former Harper's Bazaar editor, Alison Veness-McGourty has moved across to become editor-in-chief of the title, which she said would not just focus on fashion.

"Grazia fuses style with substance, reality and reflection with the speed of a weekly, but the depth of a monthly. The magazine will absolutely make and break the news, but in a way that's honest, witty, emotive and fun," she said.

The launch comes at a time when circulation figures for print publications are declining, causing ACP to close two of its magazines, The Bulletin and New Woman, earlier this year.

The first issue of Grazia had no trouble pulling in high-end advertisers such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Target, Peugeot, Sony, Elizabeth Arden, L'Oreal and Sunsilk. Veness-McGourty believes that Grazia will be just as attractive to readers.

"Grazia will never be predictable or formulaic – and it's this core proposition that excites us the most, and we believe will excite Australian readers," she said.
