Adelaide print company goes up in flames
The blaze at the company’s printing and bookbinding factory, located in the south Adelaide suburb of Forestville, was sparked at around 8pm last Thursday night. Emergency services were called in to extinguish the fire, with 20 fire fighters taking close to half an hour to contain the blaze.
With every piece of equipment in the factory suffering from either fire or water damage, Dave Sawyer Print Finishing has for the moment been forced to shut its doors. The building itself has also sustained extensive damage, with repairs estimated to take around three-six months at this stage.
According to company director Gary Sawyer, local graphic arts distributor CPI has stepped in to offer assistance to the company to help it get back on its feet.
