Adelaide printer wins SA environment award

Most companies claim to be environmental, but Finsbury Green has an award to prove it.

The company took out the environment award at the South Australian of the Year Awards 2007. CEO Peter Orel stressed that despite being headquartered in South Australia, Finsbury Green is a national company with offices in Melbourne and Sydney and that consistent environmental performance across the board helped to separate Finsbury Green from other companies.

"This is a significant environment award for the whole of our company, the judging panel evaluated the entire company's environmental performance across all divisions in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney and concluded that our story was very compelling," said Orel.

Finsbury Green has earnt itself a reputation for publishing an environmental report each year. Rodney Wade, environment and technical manager for the company, said that these reports were a way of sharing the company's positive developments with the public.

"We felt that it was really important to be a good example to our customers, suppliers and staff," he said.
