Adobe begins another chapter in Queensland
The Sydney Chapter, formed in 2004, and was followed by the Melbourne Chapter launched last year.
The Adobe InDesign User Group is a community that is independently managed and run by Adobe InDesign software users and provides a forum for users to share, learn and grow their InDesign knowledge.
Initially formed by users in New York, the community quickly spread to other cities in the United States. Today, there are 28 chapters across the US, Canada, Europe and Australia.
"Members regard User Group meetings as a great opportunity to network with other users and learn how to leverage the power of InDesign in their workplace," said Eliot Harper, the User Group’s chapter representative.
“We are launching the Brisbane Chapter in response to strong demand from the local design community,” said Harper. “Our inaugural meeting is scheduled for Thursday 19 April from 6:00pm-8:15pm.”
“Brisbane’s design community is emerging as a powerful creative force," said Michael Stoddart, senior sales manager, media and publishing, Asia Pacific at Adobe Systems. "I am very pleased that the widespread InDesign community in Brisbane and South East Queensland will now be directly supported with its own InDesign User Group. This will be a watershed year for Adobe’s creative community – I look forward to closely supporting the new Brisbane Chapter and its members."
Both the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane chapters run meetings throughout the year. Attendance is free and there are no membership fees. To join this community and register to attend an upcoming meeting, visit
