Agfa hosts virtual event for offset printing industry
Agfa is hosting a six-day virtual event featuring sessions to supporting printing companies through the current business challenges and help them plan for the future.
Running from 18 to 26 June, the event is timed to coincide with the original drupa time frame. Today’s event is titled “it’s all about automation – robot loading for VLF CTP”. It commences this evening at 6pm AEST.
Agfa said the event will comprise a series of educational webinars focusing on market and technology trends and Agfa’s latest made-to-measure printing innovations for the offset printing industry.
Guy Desmet, head of marketing for the offset solutions business division at Agfa, said 4D48 would have been the company’s booth number at drupa.
“Drupa and other tradeshows may have been postponed or even cancelled due to the Covid-19 outbreak, but our commitment to the printing industry stands strong. We want to inspire and engage printing companies,” Desment said.
“In Studio 4D48, our experts will give them an update on our offering, and how it can move their businesses forward in a cost-effective way.”
The event will host two webinars per day over the six days. They will be a mix of expert talks, user cases, and Q and A sessions. Each webinar is to focus on a specific market segment and various kinds of automation, efficiency increases, and cost-reduction will be common threads.
All webinars will be in English, streamed from Agfa headquarters in Belgium. They will last between 30 and 45 minutes each. Head to the Agfa website to register.
Below is the schedule of Agfa webinars. All except the last webinar start at 10.00 and 16.00 CEST, which is 18.00 and 00.00 AEST. The last webinar, on 26 June, is scheduled for 11.00 EDT, which is 01.00 AEST – in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
