Xcalibur VLF is Agfa's family of innovative thermal platesetters for very large format (VLF) platemaking. This system brings new simplicity and quality to the demands of VLF computer-to-plate. Its elegant, simple external drum design includes many innovations designed to make VLF plate-setting faster, easier, and more accurate.

The ideal plate for Xcalibur VLF is Thermostar P970, a positive-working thermal plate based on an innovative two-layer technology developed and patented by Agfa. Thermostar P970 provides the long runs (1+ million with optional post-baking, up to 150,000 without baking) and extreme accuracy that are the hallmarks of Agfa's thermal computer-to-plate solutions. Thermostar P970 is sensitized to 830 nm - Xcalibur VLF's exposure wavelength - and offers fast imaging, convenient handling, and excellent press performance thanks to Agfa's proven aluminum plate substrate technology.

* Choose from four models that image plates as large as 80 x 58" (203,0 x 147,5 cm). All four models produce plates as small as 20 x 29" (508 x 736 cm)
