Melbourne-based Australian Graphic Servicing (AGS) return home from drupa with a number of distribution deals to expand its range of graphics equipment on offer to the Australia and New Zealand markets.
Glenn Maynard and Ross Gilberthorpe from AGS (pictured above, left and right) with Paul Attew, owner of Watkiss, scoured the halls of drupa to source equipment that will complement their existing line-up and signed at least two exclusive dealerships - with Watkiss and Faldo - as well as deals with a number of consumables agencies.
Watkiss, a UK-based producer of innovative print finishing equipment, is a family owned and managed company that has won numerous design awards and industry accolades over the years – including two British Design Awards and two Queen’s Awards for International Trade - for products including Watkiss Vario, BookMaster, SpineMaster and PowerSquare. Since the company was founded in 1974, over 15,000 machines have been installed in more than 80 countries.
“We’re very much looking forward to representing Watkiss in the Australian and New Zealand markets," said Maynard. "Their products are high quality and fit very well with our range of equipment."
Other deals signed by the duo include exclusive distribution rights for the range of Faldo paper cutters, paper guillotines, perfect binders and paper folding machines, as well as for Bowe Systec mailroom equipment and Fuji flexo plates.
“We're very excited about these new arrangements which will complement our Tecnau range of finishing products," said Gilberthorpe.
