All eyes on Fuji Xerox iGen 4
Fuji Xerox charges into 2009 with an array of new products including the eagerly-awaited iGen 4.
As 2008 winds down, Simon Lane, national manager of productions services business, notes that one consistency throughout the year was the figure 40 per cent.
"We have seen 40 per cent year-on-year growth in installed base of entry production colour print engines," said Lane, (pictured). He also noted that there had been 40 per cent YOY growth in the installed base of iGen 3 digital production press, 40 per cent YOY growth in colour print volumes and 40 per cent growth in production colour AMPV over the last four years.
Looking to 2009, Fuji Xerox will be focussing on its 700 Digital Color Press, FreeFlow 7, DocuColor 5000AP, DocuColor 1257GA Digital Press and the Fuji Xerox 4112/4127 Copier/Printer.

The jewel in the crown, of course, is the Xerox iGen 4 which only arrived in Australia one week ago. Installations will start in January 2009 and, according to Lane, there has already been strong interest from customers.
The printing world may be facing dire times with the tough state of the economy, but Lane feels confident that these new technologies will put Fuji Xerox in good stead.
"These products give us a great start to 2009 in breadth and technology," he said.
