Anitech is wrapping up a major restructure, with the print machinery and consumables supplier streamlining its logistics operations, rationalising its management structure and overhauling its delivery pipeline.

The key elements of the company’s business reconfiguration involve changes to its office, staff, logistics and service delivery, all of which are designed to refocus the organisation on its new core business concepts of delivering technologically advanced printing and finishing solutions including consistent and reliable consumables and technical support.

Anitech has streamlined its logistics, rationalised its management team and overhauled its delivery pipeline to create a smooth, responsive platform that it says will ‘take the business into a competitive market in a more purposeful and aggressive manner’.

The company is keeping its distribution centres in Sydney and Perth, coupled with outsourced warehousing and distribution from logistics specialists Hunter Express in all other regions.

The company says these changes will allow it to focus on its core operations distributing direct to customer wherever possible. The new national distribution and administration supply chain will guarantee delivery within 24 hours to most of our customers across Australia, yet still allow for emergency orders to be ‘bullet couriered’ or picked up from the 3PL warehouses.

National call centres have been established, with one dedicated to take and process sales calls, while the second is a dedicated National service hub. The system changeover has been staggered to minimize the impact on our customers but has now been introduced with Newcastle, Sydney and Brisbane online now and other states following soon.

Anitech says the changes will increase the number of face-to-face sales people it has in the market, with some non-core parts of the business, such as the Newcastle print Bureau, being sold off as part of the rationalisation process.

Stephen Pratt, Anitech CEO, said, “we have implemented these changes to reshape the company; to create momentum and realign our focus to the changing needs of our clients. Corporate reputations are created over many years; our plan is to build on the trusted Anitech brand, reinvigorate our product lineup and get closer to our customers so that equipment, consumables and services are delivered to our customers how they want them, where they want them and when they want them.

“We are signalling to the market” Stephen emphasised, “that our plan for Anitech is in effect and it will drive this business to new heights. The business restructure follows a management shuffle earlier this year, which saw the former service division manager, Pratt, take on the position of CEO with the national print equipment and service provider after former chief Chris Wagstaff passed away in late February.
