ANZ colour deal done at drupa

Exclusive agreement with Fuji Xerox  to implement colour-matching software, ORIS Press Matcher, hailed as coup by CGS.

The software uses CGS four-dimensional colour management to produce high-resolution files for digital presses, conventional presses, wide-format printers, CTP systems, or any other device, by matching their colour spaces to each other. The result is standardized colour across multiple devices bringing high-quality, consistent colour to all printing projects.

“With Fuji Xerox Australia we have found the ideal partner for our products in the expanding digital printing press market”, states Trevor Haworth, CEO of CGS Publishing Technologies International. “ORIS Press Matcher provides Fuji Xerox with a colour managed solution for the most demanding applications in the digital press space.”

ORIS Press Matcher will be part of Xerox’s colour managed workflow, which includes ORIS Certified Proof, a PC and a spectrophotometer. It integrates with the Xerox FreeFlow Process Manager to create an automated workflow supporting SWOP, GRACoL and Fogra standards and the G7 process. ORIS Press Matcher will help to prepare files for print with high levels of colour accuracy.

“We are very happy that CGS chose us as an exclusive distributor for ORIS Press Matcher,"  said Henryk Kraszewski, production marketing manager, FXA. “ORIS Press Matcher is the perfect solution to enable our customers to manage colour across a number of colour output devices utilizing different print technologies.”

The announcement at the show complements the introduction of CGS’ web-based Hybrid Proofing, which will be available to the market within the next few months.
