APN flies high with 200-metre long billboard

New airline, V Australia, reaches for the sky with 200-metre-long billboard at Sydney International Airport.

Printed by Omnigraphics on a HP Digital 5-metre printer, the site is made up of two panels, each one approximately as long as 35 car spaces at just over 100 metres and is 5.375 metres high and sits on top of an eight-storey car park, at International Terminal 1, Sydney.

According to Paul McBeth, general manager of marketing at APN Outdoor, the site was borne out of an initial approach by media agency, Mitchells Brisbane, and Australia’s newest international airline V Australia, who wanted to make a bold statement with maximum visual impact close to the airport.

“Eight stories off the ground, and 100 metres facing north and west, V Australia will be noticed by anyone parking, driving or flying anywhere in the vicinity of the International Airport,” he said. “Apart from being the largest site in the country, it also has a very high and consistent level of guaranteed traffic and visibility.”
