Arizona arrives in Australia

Océ’s newly announced Arizona 550 GT display graphics flatbed printer gets ready for Australian debut at Visual Impact Image Expo in April.

The Océ Arizona 550 GT extends the Arizona range adding to the Océ Arizona 250 and the Océ Arizona 350 GT and 350 XT and doubles the speed of the existing models. It can produce more than 40 square meters of high quality printing per hour, or more than 100 full-size boards per eight-hour shift.

According to Dale Hawkins, Océ-Australia’s business group manager for display graphics and imaging supplies, the announcement of the new printer has drawn strong interest from Océ’s Australian customer base and has resulted in a number of advance sales.

“The Océ Arizona range has been very popular in the Australian marketplace and the news that there is an even faster model about to be launched is big news in the display graphics sector,“ Hawkins said.

“In a market where sales of printing equipment and supplies by competitors dropped more than 30 percent in 2009, Océ's business actually grew internationally, largely attributable to the popularity of the Océ Arizona series.”

Aimed at display graphics printers and high capacity print providers - typically companies printing larger (or many smaller) jobs of graphics for sign and display applications, the Arizona 550 GT will be on displayed from 30 April to 1 May at Visual Impact on the Gold Coast. Océ anticipates its customers producing an estimated 10-12 million square meters of printed output on Océ Arizona Series printers this year.
