Australia Post stamps its name on greeting card awards
Preparations for the 15th annual Australian Greeting Card Association (AGCA) competition are now underway and looking for entries.
Patron sponsor, Australia Post, has again agreed to support these awards and in recognition of its input, the association has decided to rename the major award the Australia Post Greeting Card of the Year. Australia Post has supported these awards since their inception in 1992. Previous winners of this award include John Sands, Artwrap, Simson, Kat Kards, Hallmark and For Arts Sake.
Categories have been updated and include individual cards, ranges of cards, cards manufactured in Australia and overseas.
Ron Thorpe, the president of the AGCA, said that the awards "were developed to encourage and tap the tremendous creative resources of fellow Australians, plus pursue innovate and exciting print and manufacturing technology. The ultimate goal being to develop, manufacture and distribute fine greeting card product highly desired by all Australians."
