Australians roll on to Label Expo
Local label industry gets ready for the trip to Brussels trade show, Label Expo.
The four-day show, which runs from 23 to 26 September at Brussels, will see a number of Australians amongst the crowds. According to Frank Gavrilos, president of LATMA, the European show is often more compelling to an Auistralian audience than its US counterpart. “Australians attend European shows more because it seems more relevant to them,” he said.
This year’s show will host new feature areas including The Digital Printing Experience where visitors will see the best pick of digital presses, as well as digital pre-press software, plate-making and post-press finishing, with live demonstrations running continuously and Green Park, a feature that will allow suppliers to display their environmentally friendly projects and enable visitors to see the latest developments in green and sustainable technology giving them valuable information about what action to take to help reduce the impact of their business on the environment.
Roger Pellow, Labelexpo’s managing director has high expectations for the show. “Labelexpo Europe continues to be the essential event in the industry for senior professionals to come and see the latest innovations and technologies in action and make important decisions in the bid to achieve maximum productivity and profitability for their business. The long-running show provides a unique forum for converters in this market to network and keep up with the fast-moving technological advances,” he said.
Gavrilos believes that locals can benefit from the information on offer at Label Expo. “There’s always something to be learnt, it’s good to keep up with what the rest of the world is doing,” he said.
Print 21 editor, Simon Enticknap, will be attending the show. To organise a time to meet, contact him at simon@print21.com.au
