Avon Graphics grows with new screen press install

First screen press installation opens up new doors for Avon Graphics.

According to manager, Tate Hone, (pictured) the new press, which went into the Melbourne-based company last week, will co-exist with Avon Graphics’ current fleet of three coaters using Cyrel photopolymer plates.

“The screen press will give us a lot more flexibility,” he said. “Price-wise, it is good for short-run work so we can get a lot higher build out of the UV finish and provide our clients with more options.”

A second machine is already on order, and is expected to be installed later this year. “When the second machine arrives, we will look at moving into specialty coatings as well,” Hone added. “We can see that there’s a need for service on that side of the market.”

The press is already up and running and Avon Graphics has taken its first order. “The results it is producing are fantastic,” Tate said.
