Be famous for ‘Work that Works’- ADMA Awards 2006
Developed by Clemenger Proximity, the Call for Entries brochure elaborates and expands on the emotions of winning an award and becoming famous within the industry as a result. The ADMA Website has been used to personalise the experience, allowing viewers to see their name in lights, whilst the headline: 'Look Mum, I'm famous" has been used in the poster to inject humour into the campaign.
All elements are underpinned by the Awards motto: Be famous for Work that Works. Meanwhile, the venue for this year’s Award’s ceremony, lends itself to a red carpet extravaganza for the who’s who of the industry.
Unlike other industry awards, the results of a campaign are a crucial element of winning an ADMA Award. The judging panel includes a strong representation of direct marketers from leading Australian companies and suppliers, who will be searching for outstanding creative execution, combined with effective results for an entry to win.
As well as an increased presence in the judging process, the number of client-side marketers entering and winning the ADMA Awards continues to grow year on year.
Chairman of Effectiveness Judges, Douglas Nicol said: “There are not enough awards programs that comprehensively grill their entries to make sure they have delivered exceptional ROI-The ADMA awards are unique in that they only recognise work that works. There is no grey area for our judges, they need to see solid proof of performance and real commercial payback.”
Chairman of Creative Judges, David Bell added: “2005 was a stellar year for creativity in direct marketing. Of the 105 individual campaigns recognised in the 2005 ADMA Award book there is some truly outstanding work. That book is now the new benchmark. It will be exciting to see if this year's work can raise the bar again.”
This year will see a change of guard for the running of the Awards with Kate Furey recently appointed as the ADMA Awards Manager. A mail out of the Call for Entries pack to over 3000 will land early June, with entries due by the 20th July 2006. The red carpet ADMA Awards presentation will be held in Sydney on Friday 10th November 2006.
