A good buzz around the aisles and increasing reports of unexpected sales from different suppliers has turned the show around. While attendance is still building at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre most exhibitors started off today with more cheerful expectations following a good second day at the show. A different vibe replaced the nervous first day start as exhibitor after exhibitor planted 'Sold' signs on pieces of kit.

Konica Minolta finished its day with a new NexPress sale to queensland-based Tennyson Group division, Shout Graphics, withKaren Simpson signing on the dotted. Spicers put a sold sign on its EFI Vutec, a Print21HotPick, gone to Visual Solutions.

Currie Group is having a great time with Bernie Robinson, managing director, rolling up his sleeves and selling two Horizon folders - AFC566F & CRF362 - to Sunnyland Printing, Mildura. The Group's New Zealand arm is also having a fine time with three binders, BQ470 PUR binder, BQ270 PUR/EVA binder and a BQ 270V going to different homes across the Tasman.

Phil Rennell, sales director is set to announce the sale of its second HP Indigo 10000, while three ABG International label converting machines, built in Yorkshire UK, have all found a home, reinforcing the wisdom of Currie Groups move into packaging.

Stephen Pratt, Anitech, said his team has surpassed his goals and is set to close a number of wide format deals later in the show.

Meanwhile, Konica Minolta continued its winning streak on Day Three, Wednesday, with there more sales from the stand.
