BJ Ball is taking its Mohawk Show to Queensland, kicking off the Brisbane leg of the Mohawk roadshow on 12 June, where visitors can check out the winning work in the international Mohawk Show first-hand.

BJ Ball, the exclusive local distributor for Mohawk Paper, is representing the Australian leg of the Mohawk Show, which tours around the world and features winning design, printing and paper product works from as far afield as the USA, Canada, Asia, the UK and, of course, Australia.

The Mohawk Show is predominantly a graphic design competition, where any commercial print job produced on Mohawk Paper product can be in the running to win thousands of dollars in prize money and be ogled by print and design fans all over the globe.

After a successful Mohawk Show series in Australia thus far, visiting Sydney on 15 May, Melbourne on 30 May and Adelaide on 4 June, the final local show for the 2013 roadshow kicks off this week in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

Show number 13 in as many years has highlighted a number of North American and European Designers plus Australian Designers that made ‘Best in Show’ status.

Paul Garbutt from Naughty Fish Design in Sydney was this year’s winner of the Mohawk Show. His work produced for a Sydney property development company and printed on Mohawk Superfine by Digitalpress in Surry Hills was a standout.

The Mohawk Show has already attracted over 1,000 visitors so far with more expected to come to the Brisbane leg. Visitors have been from diverse fields, including design students, experienced graphic designers, creative directors, printers, teachers and lovers of design generally.
