Blue Star looks to Fuji Xerox for high-speed digital colour

In a move to expand its digital colour offering, Blue Star looked to Fuji Xerox and liked what it found, according to a company statement.

"We already have a good understanding of Fuji Xerox's capabilities and existing workflow solutions," said Kim Lykissas, general manager, Kings Mailing Services. "We decided on the iGen3 as providing the best mix of workflow, quality and speed required for our continued expansion into the colour market, as well as providing us with leading web-to-print and personalisation software for variable data printing."

Kings Mailing Service was established in 1988 as a specialist direct marketing mail house which covers all types of personalised mailing. Lykissas believes that the iGen3 will further develop Blue Star's strengths in both the commercial print and direct mailing markets.” Blue Star print group does both static imaging and variable digital print work, and the iGen3 will allow for a combination of the two.

“It gives us the Rolls Royce of capabilities,” he said. "We are in a unique position in the Australian marketplace to fulfil clients' digital colour needs across both markets.”

Nick Kugenthiran, general manager of Fuji Xerox’s print and mailing services said that the installation demonstration collaboration with customers in developing new markets. “The installation of the two iGen3s boost Blue Star’s print and mailing services across its Sydney and Melbourne markets,” he said.
