Blue Star spinoff adds TASK2
Marketing services business Kalido has acquired Sydney communications agency TASK2 to further expand its creative and digital capacity.
Kalido is part of the IVE Group, formerly known as Blue Star Group Australia. “We are really excited about this acquisition, and the benefits it brings for all the customers across the group,” said Kalido CEO Joel Norton, who will head the combined business, with TASK2 directors Nicola Tiernan, Leanne Pyne and Michael Cleary assuming senior roles.
IVE MD Warwick Hay described the move as “a fantastic opportunity for Kalido to expand its talented team and further enhance its creative and marketing services offering to the market.”
TASK2, a medium sized communications agency based at Roseberry, will be relocated to Kalido’s Sydney CBD office in Clarence St, with the combined business operating under the Kalido brand. All of the existing TASK2 employees will form part of the combined Kalido team.
“The acquisition provides an exciting and mutually beneficial opportunity for both companies,” said TASK2 Director Nicola Tiernan. “It provides IVE with a well-established multi-channel creative agency to help deepen existing customer relationships. And it gives our staff the stability of a larger parent company, access to a print and production powerhouse in the Blue Star Group, an expanded client base for solid growth, as well as career opportunities for all of our staff.”
Kalido is part of the IVE Group, formerly known as Blue Star Group Australia. IVE consists of 3 operating divisions – Blue Star Group (which includes Blue Star Print, Blue Star Web, Blue Star Display, Blue Star Direct, Blue Star Connect and Blue Star Promote), Iveo (managed solutions) and Kalido (creative and marketing services).
IVE Group employs a thousand people across operations in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane, and services major industry sectors including financial services, publishing, retail, healthcare, communications, property, clubs and associations, not-for-profit, utilities, manufacturing, education and government.
