Bookings open for drupa 'Aussie Night' party

Bookings are now open for the Aussie Night BBQs which will be staged during each week of drupa 2008.

The BBQs are the must-attend guaranteed English-speaking functions where Aussie visitors can meet, greet, wine, dine and exchange their drupa exhibition stories.

They will be held at the picturesque Kaiser Friedrich Halle in Mönchengladbach on the Sundays of 1 and 8 June 2008. Mönchengladbach also houses the Printing Industries supa drupa head hotel, Hotel Amadeo, and is a short road or rail trip from Düsseldorf city centre.

Printing Industries national communications and technical services manager, Joe Kowalewski, said that during past drupas, the 'Aussie Night' activities were the biggest and most popular social events staged for Australian visitors during the two-week exhibition.

"Just about everyone attends and the events are always a big success," he said. "We are planning some pleasant surprises for our revellers which will make their trip even more memorable."

Many companies have already signed up to sponsor the Aussie Nights including Agfa, Fuji Xerox, Heidelberg and PaperlinX. Sponsorships are still available and expressions of interest should be directed to joe@printnet.com.au

In addition to the BBQ, Australian visitors will be treated to free Happy Hours organised by Printing Industries in conjunction with the suppliers. These will be held on selected evenings for the foot weary visitors after the exhibition closes. Happy Hour sponsorship inquiries should also go to joe@printnet.com.au

Aussie BBQ tickets can be booked by contacting Theresa at Printing Industries on (02) 8789 7300 or by e-mail supadrupa@printnet.com.au

Most supa drupa tour members will receive a ticket with their package (except the three night tour option tours). Outside of the tour packages, tickets can be purchased by Printing Industries members for $120 per person and non Printing Industries members $150 per person.
