Breakthrough Nuvera EA digital production system, a new platform using Emulsion Aggregation Toner.
Fuji Xerox Australia gives users exactly what they want with breakthrough Nuvera EA digital production system, a new platform using Emulsion Aggregation Toner. This system enables users to custom design the configuration that best fits their printing needs.
"The Nuvera EA digital production system offers complete versatility and customisation to meet our customers' needs," said Chris Aked, (pictured) marketing manager of Fuji Xerox Australia's monochrome production solutions. "The premise is simple: you choose the speed, feeding, scanning, finishing, and software options that best fit your needs, with the option to change as your business changes."
The new platform represents a quantum leap for the Nuvera system with a series of changes further advancing the technology in terms of quality, productivity and unsurpassed reliability.
As its name implies, EA Toner plays a key role in the uncommonly high level of imaging quality the Nuvera EA Digital Production System delivers.
"Xerox has essentially reinvented toner production by developing the Emulsion Aggregation process, the result of which is EA (Emulsion Aggregation) Toner, the toner of choice for all monochrome equipment," explained Aked. "This toner is chemically grown, rather than traditionally ground, to very small consistent particles. It requires no fuser oil and is much easier to control. Relying on a Semi Conductive Magnetic Brush (SCMB) Development System, the brush actually comes in contact with the photoreceptor to create the phenomenal images produced by the Nuvera EA Digital Production System."
In addition to image quality, EA Toner is an example of the many Fuji Xerox endeavours aimed at minimising the environmental impact of company activities, while at the same time helping customers to reduce their own environmental impact. Not only does the EA manufacturing process require less energy - reducing CO2 emissions by 35 percent - but the toner consumes less energy when used to print. Its rich colours and regular particle size mean that Fuji Xerox engines need less EA Toner than conventional toner to create an image, so there is less thermal mass to heat and the process is more efficient.
Advantages for mid and full production environments
With capabilities to support a variety of applications - such as publishing (PS, PCL, PDF, TIFF), personalisation (VIPP, PPML), and native transaction data streams (IPDS, LCDS) - the Nuvera EA is ideal for a range of mid-production and full-production environments.
It is suitable for:
Time-critical printing, such as day-to-day workgroup printing and walk-up copying
Low volumes of complex documents or high volumes of simple documents
Promotional transactional documents
Variable data
Digital printing and digital book publishing
On-demand book printing
Users of the new Nuvera EA can enhance, automate, and simplify their workflow and increase productivity by taking advantage of Xerox FreeFlow(tm) Digital Workflow collection of solutions.
Further strengthening Fuji Xerox's high-volume black-and-white printing portfolio, the Nuvera EA also delivers superior monochrome imaging quality with 1200 x 1200 dpi RIP resolution, 4800 x 600 dpi print resolution, and halftone screens at up to 156 lpi, customisable job by job.
"Each new addition to Fuji Xerox's ever advancing product range is more than a random stand alone piece. We promise our customers solutions that fit together to gradually and strategically grow their businesses by facilitating revenue-generating services; solving day-to-day operating challenges; and positively impacting on the bottom line," said Aked. "With its unsurpassed reliability, increased uptime, greater serviceability, and trouble-free operation through state-of-the-art engineering, the Nuvera EA is another fulfillment of this promise."
Features of the Nuvera EA digital production system include:
High-volume production printing at up to 100, 120, or 144 images per minute
Revolutionary Emulsion Aggregation (EA) fine particle toner creates quality that is comparable to, or exceeds, offset-level output, with finer lines, higher levels of detailing, and a smooth, matte finish
FreeFlow(tm) DocuSP controller technology provides unmatched process power with the ability to simultaneously spool, RIP, and print several small jobs or a long, streaming job; queues that can simplify and automate workflow, print and re-print on demand locally or remotely; strong security features, enhanced data-stream support, output quality, and prepress functions
Transactional Electronic Registration (TELER) provides consistently accurate images and precise registration
Non-stop operation - reload paper trays and replace toner/developer containers while the system is running, to maintain productivity and avoid downtime
Can be configured with multiple sheet feed options, integrated or free-standing scanner, and a wide range of finishing options, from simple to complex
Colour integration, via post-process insertion, boosts document value by allowing easy insertion of color covers and inserts
"The black-and-white market continues to be an important area of focus and innovation, as well as a significant revenue-generator for our customers. From light to mass production and every niche in between, our products and tools meet customer demand for high-quality output and unwavering reliability and support," said Aked.
