Bruce Blythe bows out as MD of Agfa-Gevaert Oceania
Among the well-known faces that are retiring from the graphics side are John Shore, sales and marketing manager, Bruce Lowery, Chris Gander and Trevor Dawe. Not all are leaving immediately and many represent a generation of personnel that joined Agfa with the acquisition of Printing Technologies. Their departures represent a major watershed for the company.
The exodus is triggered by a radical reorganisation of the iconic company in the face of continuing tough industry conditions. After divesting its photographic business in November 2004, the global company was split into three separate divisions: Graphics, Healthcare and Materials.
Bruce Blythe has occupied the chair since 2004, overseeing the combined business. He is expected to leave the company on April1. As yet there is no announcement as to a likely successor.
