Call out for GAMAA Scholarships
Future leaders of the printing industry wanting to advance their knowledge and experience can do so by applying for the 2010 GAMAA Leadership Programme Scholarships.
Scholarships are open to all individuals working in the graphic media and printing technologies industry who have the support of their employer. According to Samantha Crock, GAMAA education manager, successful applicants will be awarded a scholarship that facilitates financial, educational and professional support over three years.
Over the past six years the GAMAA Leadership Education Programme has evolved to meet the demands of the industry. “We’ve run several focus groups with producers and suppliers to define the areas that are lacking in education for the industry. The most recent results indicate a need to improve the skills of management with particular reference to change,” said Crock.

GAMAA graduate, David Constable, (pictured) who now works as marketing officer at AustralianSuper found that the scholarship allowed him to extend into other areas that he would otherwise not have considered.
“With the GAMAA scholarship I’ve been very lucky to share some unique learning experiences with an equally inspirational bunch of people,” he said.
