Are you ambitious, keen, engaged in the printing industry and looking for ways to advance your professional career? And importantly, do you live and work in Victoria or New South Wales?
You can join your peers, the winners of the state-based Pica Apprentice of the Year competitions in Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania, in the running to be picked as MediaSuper Young Executive of the Year 2015. The prestigious award is designed to encourage young industry professionals in the development of their career in the printing industry. It recognises your hard work, excellence and commitment not only to your own trajectory but also to your employer's business.
You’ll be following in the footsteps of the inaugural winner of the title, John Billet, printing supervisor at Foot and Playsted, Launceston. The first recipient of the award, which is run in conjunction with the Printing Industries National Print Awards, encourages other young professionals to put their best foot forward and enhance their career. “It’s a very good recognition to add to your CV and will help you moving forward in your career, he said.
This year the entry procedure has changed, with direct entry in Victoria and NSW as there are no Pica Awards in those states. To join the state-based winners of the MediaSuper Young Executives award enter here.
The winner will be announced at the National Print Awards in Sydney in May and will receive an all expenses paid trip to the awards and $2000 for their superannuation account.
According to Bill Healey, CEO Printing Industries, the Media Super Award is designed to encourage young people to further their careers in the industry, at all levels from apprentices to managers. “High levels of talent and commitment need to be encouraged and nurtured. The MediaSuper Young Executives award demonstrates that, as an industry, we are serious about promoting achievement and excellence to help develop the industry leaders of tomorrow.”
