Candidate of the week: Apprenticeship, Sydney

We are looking for an employer to finish off Tyron's apprenticeship, maybe only six months. Tyron has only two blocks of TAFE left to do and should be finished by October, all being well. His TAFE teacher - Bill Sjoblom, knows his work very well and will offer verbal/written references to an interested employer. Bill says that Tyron is excellent at his work and his TAFE, and is very well trained.



His current employer is only releasing him because he is no longer in the printing business and cannot offer him the appropriate work experience and training.



If any of your members can offer him a position to complete his apprenticeship, this would be very much appreciated.



Tyron knows that after the apprenticeship is completed, the employer is under no obligation to employ him as a qualified printer.

Commonwealth incentives are available to a prospective employer - $750 for a re-commencement and $625 for a pro-rata completion (incentives are payable through an Australian Apprenticeship Centre - (AAC).
