Candidate of the week: CUSTOMER SERVICE REP (Sydney) - Answers to Emma

Our industry is screaming for people like Emma!

I have recently met and interviewed Emma, who presents as bright, energetic - and even witty - having that natural outgoing persona which immediately endears her to others.

While at this stage of her career she's not a world authority on print (although as a junior designer she's dealt with printing companies and understands the relevant graphics programs and the "ready-to-print" requirements of preparing files.

However, she does have an excellent understanding of office admin programs as well as pre-press software, which is the starting foundation for all good customer service/order-entry personnel.

However, it is her personality which is a "winner" on two counts -

- she has a natural skill in communicating with others - and

- an energetic "can do" attitude.

I spoke with one of her recent bosses -

- well-spoken and a hard worker
- always liked to be kept busy and
- would contribute to the team's ideas, suggestions, etc.

Emma worked there for a period on a "work experience" basis, and from all accounts acquitted herself more than favourably. She's available asap for interview.
