EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
June 1996 to Present – Contractor
I have been printing and demonstrating (teaching operators and owners of new and second hand equipment) commercially on a contract basis for businesses in the greater Sydney area, filling shifts during high demand periods, and annual and sick leave of permanent staff.
September 1993 to June 1996 – Nova Printing
Operating 2 and 4 colour GTOs, plate making, job estimating, client liaison, print finishing.
September 1989 to September 1993 – Promail Printing
Operating 5 colour MO-FPH.
October 1985 to August 1989 – Seligson and Clare (now Heidelberg Australia)
Printing Equipment Demonstrator for their full range of presses.
Duties performed:

Test printing of second hand equipment on the full range of presses and accessories including perfecting, numbering, imprinting, scoring and perforating.

Demonstrating this equipment both in our showroom (pre-sale) and in clients’ workshops (post-sale) involving setup and training of operators.
August 1988 – Senior Demonstrator.

I undertook a four year indentured apprenticeship in Lithographic Printing, studying at UTS. On completion, I remained with the company as a qualified tradesman until October 1985.
