Associated Steel Ltd., Gravure Division - Kenya (From Nov 03 To Oct 05)


COMPANY PROFILE: Associated Steel Ltd. is a group of companies diversified in the various Businesses like Steel, finance, Packaging Carton, Offset, & Just from November 2003 it got engaged in the Flexible Packaging with the Start of the Gravure Division. Company has a Rotogravure printing machine, Lamination, Slitting, Waxing & Pouching machines. We Print on the Substrates like Pet, Met Pet- Bopp, Tr. Bopp, & Paper & Laminate them. Company is also doing Exports to Sudan, East Africa & Other African Market.




JOB PROFILE
I am working as a Production & Q.C. Supervisor in my Gravure Division.


As a Q.C. Supervisor, I have to check the quality of the Printed-Laminated Substrates for the Technical properties, & other in order to ensure full customer satisfaction. Checking the incoming Raw material.

Also I handled & Solved the customer complaints successfully, even for the overseas Customers. As a Plant Production Supervisor, I perform the role to make sure the Smooth flow of the production. Also ensures the quality Of the Products at the every stage of the operations i.e. Printing, Lamination Waxing, Slitting, and Pouching.

I am also responsible for achieving the daily production targets. I need to check the scheduled maintenance activities on daily Basis. So for all this the Men management is the main skilled part.

I do not hesitate to blacken the Hands while on the duty.
Wastage Control.

Also I assist my Production Manager in Production Planning & Scheduling by generating reports like Daily Production Report & Work In Progress Statement. Also works for job wise material consumption i.e. Inks, Substrate, adhesives, solvents & other.

Co-ordinate with our Sales & Mkt. Department in the Development of the New Customer by discussing & Analyzing their Product requirements. I assist with my Boss during the artwork development for the final production & to communicate with the customer for the approval.

Also I assist my Manager in Prime Raw Material Planning Under the guidance of the management. I also deal with existing as well as New resources for material suppliers to us in order to cost effectiveness & to do better the value addition.
