Candidate of the week - Graphic Designer
I have recently moved to Melbourne and wish to express my interest in any potential graphic design positions or employment opportunities that may become available.
I have one year on the job experience, having used Adobe CS2 and Quark Xpress on a daily basis. I am able to handle multiple jobs independently, including binding, guillotine and laminating from pre-press through to final design construction. I take direction easily and I am able to interpret briefs to execute a fresh creative solution.
My responsibilities also included consulting, marketing and creating my own client
database.
I have a passion for design concepts, development and research. I am highly organised and possess a great ‘can do’ attitude. I am a confident diverse designer with a good eye for detail that embraces responsibility.
I have successfully completed a Bachelor in Visual Arts: Graphic design (Latrobe
University, Bendigo, 2006).
I possess excellent communication skills, which are important for liasing with client
in the Graphic Design industry. I’m a very team oriented person; I work well and enjoy working in a real team environment. I am used to working various hours in a deadline driven environment through previous employment and university and always remain calm and focused.
I am energetic, enthusiastic and motivated. From a young age I’ve have always had a keen interest in Photography, drawing and painting. My interest in Graphic Design as a career stemmed from these passions and was fuelled by my love for technology. I love learning new programs and reading design magazines to gain more skills and designer knowledge.
I have six years experience in creating freelance projects, from which I have
established a small returning client base in the greater Bendigo area. Because I
work closely with the client to achieve the results desired. I also gained a knowledge
and experience of quoting competitive prices, taking into account printing expenses,
materials and design time.
My referees will verify my professionalism, experience and work ethic. I invite you to
contact them. I would appreciate you retaining my resume on file for any positions that may arise. I will contact you in the near future to discuss my application further.
