Our client has recently arrived from the UK where he enjoyed various senior management roles with medium to large-sized printing companies - mainly, but not exclusively in sheet-fed offset.

Intending to reside, with family, in Sydney on a permanent basis, he's out here on a visa which allows him to acquire a whole or part share in a business.

His preference is to acquire all of a small-sized printing business, or a part-share in a mid-sized one.

Ideally it would contain some sheet-fed offset, but a blend of some digital colour would be preferable.

His management exposures are significant, having an understanding of production-, operations- and sales-management roles. He also has experience in putting together financial and operating plans to senior management and board level, and would bring considerable vision, expertise and drive to any business struggling to "re-invigorate/re-invent" itself in today's tough market.

Unlike a passive investor, he seeks to not only invest in, but become an active player in the business, with "skin in the game". He would consider partial or total ownership, or an "earn-out" scheme which may extend over a period of time, mutually agreeable to both parties.
