Candidate of the week - UK Print Sales Professional (Web Offset) Seeks Roles in Oz

Having spent over twenty years selling print to some of the best blue chip clients in the UK - whilst working for some of the most well-known and largest print groups in the UK - this young-at-heart sales print professional wishes to replicate this success in Australia.


No stranger, he's visited and likes what he sees, and is confident of rebuilding his client base (nearly $6M in the UK) by re-producing the same magic.


He completed a Diploma in Print & Publishing, and at eighteen begin his working life as a trainee estimator. At the first opportunity he moved into sales and began building a loyal client base that would be the envy of many colleagues and competitors alike. Working for the biggest print companies in the UK has allowed him to continue his development, having also undertaken other courses (in sales, IT & personnel developmen) over the years.


An important part of his career was as a founding member of a start-up venture in the web-offset industry. With a small management team he took on responsibility for all aspects of the business such as estimating, procurement and invoicing - plus implementing a Tharstern MIS system whilst building personal sales to nearly $4M, and then helping to take the companies turnover to around $12M.


He is currently fortunate to be working for one of the more "enlightened" UK print companies allowing him to sell to some serious "state of the art" heat-set presses, including 32- and 48pp short-grain and 64pp long-grain presses - having also previously worked with mini, 16- and 32pp web presses.

He is now looking for his next challenge Down Under.
