Canon demonstrates successful business solutions at new Digital Production Centre
Canon customers are flocking to the newly opened digital production demonstration centre to witness the imagePRESS in action and to learn of solutions for business success.
Following the overwhelmingly positive industry response to the launch of the new flagship digital printer, the imagePRESS C7000VP at PrintEx 07, Canon has opened its Canon imagepress centre in North Ryde, NSW to demonstrate the unique characteristics of the press to printers from across Australia.
"It is a sign of how the imagePRESS C7000VP has captured the imagination of the industry," explained Sumitta Jayaratne, national operations manager. "We had just come from PrintEx where there was so much enthusiasm towards the machine that we decided to open it up as soon as we could to meet the demand for information and demonstrations."
Since then more than 35 customers, including some of the biggest names in the industry have made the trip to evaluate the imagePRESS in action. According to Jayaratne the response has been very positive and enthusiastic.
"They have all been very impressed by what they saw. Twenty one of them have already signed the contracts and placed their orders. We have many more prospects in the pipeline," he added.

Offering effective business solutions is Canon's key strength and has been responsible for the high success rate achieved so far. "Our plan is to have worked out 80 per cent of the solution for a customer already. When we bring them to the centre we want the solution that we've proposed to work for them - we expect a high rate of success," Jayaratne said.
"What we are trying to demonstrate is how the C7000VP can make a difference to their business, satisfy their requirements and fit into their environment. We want to show them our infrastructure and our ability to offer ongoing national support."
