One of the key roles in the Australian printing industry is changing hands, with Fuji Xerox Australia appointing Neil Whittaker as its new managing director, taking over from Nick Kugenthiran.

According to a company press release, Whittaker, managing director of Fuji Xerox New Zealand for the past 11 years, brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the marketplace.

The move leaves Fuji Xerox New Zealand temporarily without a managing director, and an announcement is expected shortly.

“I’m delighted to take on this new challenge within a business that inspires me on a daily basis,” said Whittaker, who starts in his new role today.  “Nick has successfully guided the Australian organisation through considerable changes and we’ve remained agile and ahead of our competitors.  I’ll be working with our Australian team to ensure we stay on same path and strive for excellence.”

Kugenthiran will continue on as a corporate advisor to Fuji Xerox Australia and will lead some large regional projects while transitioning into retirement.

“The time is right for new leadership to lead Fuji Xerox Australia’s continued business success,” said Kugenthiran.  “Neil has been at the forefront of an ambitious and determined team in New Zealand and has spearheaded the business’s growth in that region. When I decided to retire, I knew he was the right man to continue our trajectory towards further success and innovation in Australia.

“In my 22 years at Fuji Xerox Australia, and six as the managing director, I have enjoyed the incredible journey the organisation has been on and I look forward to seeing what comes next in Australia.”
