Jason Allen runs onto the pitch while Bill Healey heads towards the sideline as the premiere industry association limbers up to tackle a new era.

The new CEO of Printing Industries comes with the marketing and communication skills and experience needed to lead the association in the new printing landscape. Fresh from a stint as head of Rugby’s NSW Waratahs, the new man met his predecessor, Bill Healey on his first day at the HQ in Railway Parade Auburn.

The handover went well with Healey confirming he’ll be staying around until next May to lend a hand, especially with Future Print. Allen welcomed the support and the opportunity to fast track his learning on the job.

“I’m very excited to be here. The first year in any new role is an exciting time. There is so much to be learned,” said Allen.

He flagged an early meeting with the national managers from all states in Sydney. “They are all very experienced and I want to draw on that knowledge. I don’t want it to be about me. It’s about our members. They’ve got some great stories to tell and perhaps we haven’t done enough to promote them,” he said.
