Chief economist headlines Industry Review Night

BT Financial Group’s chief economist, Dr Chris Caton, will be the guest speaker at the next JPE/Printing Industries Industry Review Night on Monday 9 March.

He will be joined by industry identity Phillip Lawrence who has been researching industry modernisation and its impact on the environmental
footprint of the printing industry.

The Review Night will focus on challenges facing the industry and some global changes that could be positive.

Dr Caton (pictured) was the Chief Economist at Bankers Trust from 1991 until July 1999. From 1994 to 1997, he was also the Chairman of the Indicative Planning Council, which advised the Government on matters relating to the housing industry.  Previously he worked in the Treasury, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and for an economic consulting firm in the United States. Chris was educated at the University of Adelaide and the University of Pennsylvania. 

The Industry Review Night will be held at Parraville, 42 Campbell Street, Parramatta from 6.15pm. Bookings close on Thursday this week. Tickets are $82.50 (incl GST) for Printing Industries members, $92.50 (Incl GST) non members.
