Christmas is a time for networking and jollity, although not necessarily in that order. There is no jollier bunch of networkers than the Sydney Galley Club and if you want to join in the fun they’re getting together at the Kirribilli Hotel, across the road from Milsons Point station on Friday, 2nd December from 6.30 pm. It’s FREE to all 2006 members and $25 for non-members, which includes drinks & fingerfood. Mind, if you renew your membership for 2006 on the night the Christmas party is free.

At a time when the Chrissie invites are coming thick and fast, Clancy’s vote for the top rort so far was the QuickCut arvo at Randwick Racecourse yesterday. He’s reliably informed there were over 100 industry types studying the form and getting into the nosebags in the top dining room. It was a day for the mud wallopers on the track, but the mob of media types, publishers and PR flacks kept the pace well up, ably assisted by some inspired race calling.
Grant Schuetrumpf, ceo, was grinning ear to ear.

As it’s the time of merriment Clancy would like to propose a competition for the best Xmas industry party photo. He knows you’re out there with telephone cameras recording all that should and should not be seen. So, a bottle of decent bubbly to the one who sends in the best party pic. Mind it has to be publishable.
