Clarification of new administrative arrangements for NPITC
When John Jarvis retired as our Executive Director two years ago, NPITC contracted to employ Skills Track 21 in Adelaide to undertake administration and management services on its behalf under instructions from the Board of Directors on the basis of three days per week.
The contract ceased in September due to Skills Track 21 closing its operation.
Limited funding from ANTA and the uncertainty as to funding available under the new Industry Skills Council saw the necessity to enter a similar arrangement with another organisation and following discussions the Melbourne-based Industry Training Advisory Board EPIC tendered to provide the services required.
The contractual arrangement is between NPITC and EPIC, and EPIC has offered the services of Rob Gullan to act in the capacity of Executive Officer of NPITC.
The contract is to be reviewed on 30th. June 2005 by which time the path of operation of NPITC in the new Skills Council should be clarified.
