CLARIFICATION: Penfold Buscombe Cairns print facility

The company has reassessed its business practices in the state and will close its press in Cairns on June 16, with nine out of the 15 staff to lose their jobs.

Brett Kinnae, site manager at Penfold Buscombe, claims the company will retain its presence in the city and keep staff on in the areas of estimation, sales, customer care and prepress.

“We are restructuring our business,” says Kinnae. “All of clients will be serviced locally.”
