Clayton Utz staff get digital
Presenting the excited graduands with their certificates, Tom Gilmartin, chief financial officer, expressed his pride in both the staff and John Kirk, who trained them. "It's the equivalent of a trade and allows us to be leaders in the industry," he said.
'The printing industry is increasingly reliant upon digital printing and we need people like you who are equipped."
The course allowed the Clayton Utz print room staff to undertake Certificate III level training in Instant Print whilst working onsite at the firm. Supported by IBSA and NSW TAFE, Kirk considered the accreditation to be a significant milestone that he had hoped to achieve for some time.
Heather Reilly, print room coordinator praised both the content of the course and Kirk's leadership in enhancing her knowledge. "We learnt a lot from it and from applying it everyday; we're still continuing to learn because new things pop up each day," she said.
'John was great - he's very thorough and passionate about printing. He explains things well."
