Melbourne print communications provider Complete Colour acquires Braeside-based Flow Printing as part of its growth strategy to target new markets.
“It’s an important step [for Complete Colour] to become a bigger force in the Australian print industry,” said Tim Michaelides, managing director. “Our partnership with Flow Printing lays the foundations for firm growth with plenty of new business potential in new markets. The rapid growth of online marketing over the past decade has, paradoxically, created a new niche opportunity for brands and businesses to get noticed using traditional print products combined with unique electronic media as part of their marketing communications mix.”
Complete Colour will shift Flow’s existing operations and equipment from Braeside to its 3,500sqm premises at Cheltenham in suburban Melbourne.
“This is not a joint venture but a combination of shared values and a commitment to delivering world class print products and solutions to our clients,” said Michaelides. “Centralising operations and equipment, including Flow’s high-end Indigo and enhancement technologies alongside Complete Colour’s industry-leading digital and offset printing technologies, will further streamline synergies and savings that will inevitably flow onto customers.”
In a joint statement, the companies said the deal had been “some time in the making. Together, our new partnership unites the complimentary skillsets of top class sales and production personnel, a superior workflow and uncompromising quality standards from two leading businesses.”
Complete Colour said its high ethical environmental and sustainability standards, QMS and EMS credentials plus Inventory Control and a huge increase in production capacity would also provide added value to Flow’s incoming customers.
Flow Printing, led by director Ryan Carter, brings over four generations’ worth of printing knowledge and expertise to the partnership. Flow’s environmentally friendly printing uses vegetable and soy-based inks that are recycled for alternative fuel sources.
