The inaugural InDesign Conference in Melbourne has changed dates from August to October 14-16 to avoid clashing with the State of Design Festival.

The InDesign Conference will be held at the Crown Promenade Hotel,
Melbourne, and includes a special training workshop on InDesign on day one
for anyone wishing to polish up their skills before the two days of
conference.

The InDesign Conference will host the largest group of InDesign experts
assembled in a single training event. One of the most valuable aspects is
the chance for attendees to gain one-on-one mentoring time with
world-renowned InDesign specialists, including:
  • David Blatner, a consultant specialising in InDesign, QuarkXPress and
Photoshop. He has authored or co-authored 13 books, including Real World
Adobe InDesign, InDesign for QuarkXPress Users, and the award-winning
    bestseller The QuarkXPress Book.

  • Sandee Cohen, Author/Trainer, who began teaching computer graphics thirteen
years ago. She is the co-author of Acrobat 5 Master Class as well as author
of books on InDesign, Fireworks, FreeHand, Illustrator, and desktop
    publishing.

  • Tim Cole, Adobe Systems’ Senior InDesign evangelist. In 1998, Tim began
working with InDesign developers and product management, prior to the
release of version 1.0. He currently evangelizes InDesign and other Adobe
products and technologies to newspaper, magazine, ad agency and other
    markets.
