Cosmopolitan stacks on the weight

Women's magazine, Cosmopolitan, goes up in size by an extra 100 pages.

The ACP-owned magazine boasts a much thicker read in its latest September issue, released this week.

Magazine editor, Bronwyn McCahon, said the change was about providing greater value for money for its readers.

"We're curvier than ever and filled with more fashion, more beauty, more sex, more men and more real and practical life advice," she wrote.

"With so many growing expenses, we totally get that value for money is hugely important. That's why we've almost doubled in size, making Cosmopolitan not only the highest-selling young women's magazine, but also the fattest ... it's like Cosmopolitan on steroids!"
