Countdown to NIPPA awards

Australians have the chance to fly to New Zealand for this year's NIPPA awards which take place from 15 to 17 October.

Entitled 'Endeavour - A Journey of Discovery', the conference features a range of local and international guest speakers. NIPPA president, David Harrison, hopes that fellow Australians will make the journey to New Zealand.

"We are providing a limited number of airfare subsidy this year to encourage members from Australia to make the journey to New Zealand," said.

"The 2008 NIPPA awards carry great significance to the winners and even those simply nominated," he said. "They are in recognition of the values and talent that are present within in-house print operations throughout Australia."

The 2008 awards are for work produced using digital technology, offset technology and include 'Best in Category' for a range of distinct product types. Other awards include 'Outstanding Business of the Year', 'Outstanding Contribution to NIPPA' and a 'NIPPA Scholarship Award'.

One award that is sticking around if that of 'Creative Design'. "Once again, it is in recognition of some quite stunning graphic design talent present in in-house print operations throughout Australasia," Harrison said.

Harrison believes the awards will be a highlight, but encouraged those wanting to attend to "book early to avoid disappointment."
