Covid sends 2020 Print2Parliament online
The annual face-to-face meeting between printers and politicians in Canberra, Print2Parliament, has now moved to a live streamed event, with a zoom conference call planned.

Covid restrictions are preventing the event from taking place at its usual Parliament House venue, with all events since the outbreak of the virus either going online or postponed next year, or both.
Print2Parliament, sponsored by Media Super, was scheduled for Wednesday 21 Oct. Printers, politicians and their advisors mingle for a couple of hours, with short speeches given from both sides of Parliament, as well as Media Super, and PVCA. Politicians also get to view all the Gold-winning National Print Awards, which are laid out on display.
This year's event will be held on the same day, 21 October, beginning at 7pm, and will see MPs on zoom to discuss industry topics, including the Proudly Printed in Australia campaign. Senior politicians are expected to attend, with shadow treasurer Jim Chalmers already signed up.
There will also be a segment outlining what it takes to be a Gold award winner at the National Print Awards.
This year will be the third time the event, produced by Print & Visual Communication Association, has been held.
