Craft leaves no mark on Inprint
IPMG’s rationalisation of Craft Inprint sees all mention of Craft scrubbed from the company’s website.
According to Stephen Anstice, CEO of IPMG, discussions of Craft’s future are still ongoing as the newly single Inprint brand begins to be marketed on its own. The Craft printing site in Alexandria continues to operate under the Hannanprint banner, while two aging web presses have been decommissioned resulting in the loss of 23 staff.
“Both presses are about 30 years old. There is not enough work for them, and they weren’t a material part of our operation. We have always attempted to redeploy people where we can, but in this market we don’t have any open positions within IPMG,” says Anstice.
The website redesign and press/staff redundancies follows the decision to split the high-profile printing brand. To streamline its eastern seaboard commercial print profile IPMG has merged Inprint’s Sydney management team, including Lindsay Hannan, into Offset Alpine’s facilities at Lidcombe.
Hannanprint’s managing director, Tony Dedda continues to oversee Craft’s viability and integration options within IPMG’s new $90 million Warwick Farm facility.
