Crowds keep on coming to PrintEx
The main increase was in international visits which represented almost double the number of visits over the same period in 2003. There was also a 30 per cent increase of visits from states other than NSW.
"Whilst it is too early to predice total visitor numbers for the entire exhibition, these early figures certainly indicate that PrintEx is starting to be seen as an event not just for those in the printing industry in NSW, but as a worthwhile and important event for the Australian industry overall," said Brian Thomas, exhibition director, Reed Exhibitions.
On opening day, the concourse at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre was already filled with visitors to PrintEx07 prior to its official opening, keen to make the most of their available time at the exhibition.
"Now in its third presentation, PrintEx has truly come of age and is an established event for anyone serious about making connections and building industry relationships," said Grant Churchill, chairman, PrintEx07.
"Seeing how it has grown in stature since the initial concept in 1999 to an event which is now seen as 'must-attend' is not only gratifying, but underscores the importance the industry places on remaining up to date with new technologies and innovations."
