Currie Group brings the complete range of solutions to IPEX
IPEX 2010 the world’s largest English-speaking event for print, publishing and media will encompass over 1000 exhibitors. Suppliers will put forward their latest ideas into practice; where innovation meets reality – from concept technology to commercial live working solutions.
Currie Group will be sending over a team of specialists to the UK to support their partners who will be showcasing their new releases and upcoming developments in printing technologies, offset and digital printing along with the latest finishing equipment. Attendees will have the chance to preview Currie’s products comprising HP Indigo, Horizon, Shinohara and ECRM Imaging Systems.
Currie’s digital partner HP has secured 2,870sqm of space in Hall 12/AB150 and will present its latest developments and innovations for commercial and industrial digital printing solutions, including HP Indigo’s latest product line. Also provided will be opportunities for private demonstrations and learning sessions to help drive your business. The stand will feature solutions for the commercial, labels, direct mail, creative and photographic markets. Successful customers will also be on the stand at IPEX showcasing how they have succeeded with HP Indigo products and solutions.

Currie’s finishing equipment partner, Horizon, located in Hall 20/C650 will showcase 29 different finishing products and solutions to serve both offset and digital markets. Live demonstrations will feature seven perfect binding configurations, six folders, three saddlestitchers and two automated booklet production lines.
Highlights include the global launch of the Horizon BQ-160 single clamp perfect binder, which includes a PUR option, an automated 17-clamp CAB system featuring inline gathering and trimming with PUR glue and backlining options, plus an automated BQ-470 four-clamp perfect binder shown for the first time with inline three-knife trimming. Horizon will also exhibit its automated combined B2 folding system, ground pile and pallet-feed automated B1 systems and the new all-buckle B2 and SRA2 modular folding systems. The three B2 Horizon stitchliners will run alongside Hunkleler systems, and will produce litho and digital print to create customised booklets. As well as the wide range of hardware on its stand, Horizon will demonstrate a number of cross-company products, including its pXnet JDF solution with Hiflex’s MIS.
Shinohara, Currie’s press partner, who manufacture sheetfed offset presses in the small to mid format sizes will be located in Hall 20/B620 and will display a 75IV Medium Pile Delivery Press with double diameter cylinder on its stand.
Currie’s prepress range will be ECRM Imaging Systems’ Mako 800 and WorkMate located in Hall 11/E230. The Mako 800 introduces the latest advances in optical technology It is an 8-up platesetter which offers all the benefits of ECRM flatbed violet imaging technology with new ECRM patented enhanced imaging optics. ECRM’s WorkMates is a digital prepress workflow that offers prepress automation without complication. WorkMates delivers all the basic prepress and streamlines your entire production workflow at a cost-effective price.
