Presenting on drupa and the Horizon Smart Factory: Bernie Robinson

Horizon by Appointment will see print business owners have their own viewing of the latest Horizon finishing equipment and workflow solutions, with a wide range on display, while adhering to social distance guidelines.

The event is running next week Tuesday to Friday, with Currie Group managing director Bernie Robinson, NSW account manager Will Currie, John Richmond, NSW technical consumables account manager, and Horizon technical product manager Rob Peterson in attendance. Anthony (AJ) Jackson will also be on hand to go demonstrate the HP Indigo 7 Series that is also at the Macquarie Park location.

Along with demonstrations, Bernie Robinson will present on what Horizon would have shown at drupa, and on his visit to the Horizon Smart Factory in Japan late last year.

Robinson said, “Covid notwithstanding Horizon is developing both its hardware and its software. The software, engineering and the connectivity now available is next level, and will enable printers and finishers to gain higher efficiencies and more productivity with less waste.”

Among the equipment on display will be the StitchLiner Mark III saddle stitching system, a BQ-280 PUR perfect binder, a SmartSlitter sheet cutter and creaser, and the new RD-4055 rotary die cut system, Horizon HT-30C Three-side Trimmer, Horizon CRF-362 Creaser & Folder, Horizon APC-610 Hydraulic Paper Cutter and Foliant Vega 400 Laminator.

Social distancing will be directed by the Sawyer Robot, which will be programmed to move around, and equipped with signage.

Robinson said strong demand means the company may repeat the event. Enquiries for future events can be made to Currie Group.
