The Currie Group has added prepress workflows to its range of products. Express Workflow, sourced from Hong Kong-based prepress developer Compose, is now available in Australia through all Currie outlets.

Express Workflow offers cost-effective, entry-level reliability and efficiency in CtP workflow management.

Bernie Robinson, The Currie Group's sales director, says Compose's Express workflow product is an important addition to the company's suite of CtP tools. “It means we can offer our customers a comprehensive range of equipment, hardware and software, from prepress, to the pressroom, right through to the bindery.”

Compose has coordinated with Harlequin to develop Express as a Harlequin-based workflow.

Features on the Express Workflow include an intuitive user interface, over 20 modules to handle all prepress needs, compatibility with PDF, TIF and other formats, integrated Read Once Output Many (ROOM) proofing, along with Star Proof screened contract quality proofing.

The Express RIP packs over 180 drivers for a wide range of applications and has interactive and automated imposition options. Web-enabled job management gives local and remote access through standard browsers. An open-system architecture allows the integration of third-party applications.
